‘Resistance Archive’ is an ongoing archive of film and photographic documentation relating to social movements in Ireland since 2002. The work is recorded from the point of view of the ‘artist as an activist’. The documentation has been used in various of ways over the years, both within and beyond the artworld. Elements of this body of work have variously been: reproduced in political posters, leaflets and newspapers; sold as part of fundraisers for political events; screened at political events; used in documentary films by the artist and other filmmakers; circulated via social media platforms; and widely exhibited in gallery and museum contexts.
