Woman at Work

Socially engaged art project, Limerick.

This project involved a live broadcast on Radio Limerick. The artist invited women, who felt their work in the home went unnoticed or unrecognised, to get in contact. The artist created signage, similar to those used in roadworks, with the phrase “Woman at Work” printed on them. These signs were delivered to the women’s houses, while photographic and audio recordings were taken of the women documenting their experience of working in the home.
